PointClickCare Named One Of Canada’s Fastest Growing Technology Companies

Leading Healthcare Software Vendor Ranks 32 in Deloitte Technology’s Fast 50™ and 313 in Deloitte Technology’s Fast 500™

MISSISSAUGA, ON – Nov., 13, 2014 – PointClickCare, the leading cloud-based software platform for the senior care market, announced today that it has been named one of Canada’s fastest growing technology companies in the 2014 Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ Awards.  This is PointClickCare’s seventh consecutive year on the Fast 50 list, ranking 32 in recognition of its leadership, innovation and excellence in the technology sector.  In addition, PointClickCare has also ranked 313 in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America.  This is PointClickCare’s ninth time receiving the Fast 500 award.

“Fast 50 companies are entrepreneurial, innovative and demonstrate leadership,” said Pascal Lamoureux, Partner and Leader for Deloitte’s Fast 50 program. “Their commitment and achievements are critical to the growth of the Canadian technology sector.”

To qualify for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™, companies must be in business for a minimum of five years, exceed annual revenues of five-million, are headquartered and conduct research and development in Canada and own proprietary technology.  A panel made-up of industry experts evaluate and rank companies based on four criteria: competitive advantage, growth and market attractiveness, management effectiveness and organization, and financial performance.

“PointClickCare’s goal is to enrich the lives of care providers through technology that will help them better care for their residents in ways that are effective and efficient,” says Mike Wessinger, CEO and co-founder of PointClickCare.  “We are fortunate to have access to world class technology resources within the Canadian market to allow us to achieve this goal.  Attracting and retaining quality talent is a crucial component to our success and we look forward to continued growth and success in the coming years.”

Now in its 17th year, the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ program recognizes leaders in the Canadian technology industry and tracks the success and growth of Canadian global leaders. The program augments the broader Deloitte North American Technology Fast 500™ initiative, with winners automatically eligible for this elite ranking.
